Terms and Conditions
Ownership & Rights
When you lease your website, Chewie Media maintains all copyrights to the website design and coding. The Client will maintain rights to their domain name. The client will provide their domain log-in information (registrar access) to Chewie Media upon the signing of a contract with Chewie Media. The Client has the option to purchase full rights of the website at the indicated buyout price.
Payment
$500 non-refundable deposit. $197.00 + Tax, $329.00 + Tax, or $679.00 + Tax will be charged for the Pine Tree, Cedar, or Red Wood Website plan respectively, each month to the credit card used upon sign up. If the card expires or is declined for any reason, the Client is given 15 days to contact Chewie Media to update their payment method or make arrangements with Chewie Media. If for any reason the Client does not provide Chewie Media with an updated credit card or payment arrangement within 15 days, the website will be suspended and removed from the internet. The website will only be reactivated once all outstanding balances are paid for by the Client.
Updates + Changes
The Client is provided with one update every month, either 1, 2, or 4 hours depending on their plan outlined above. This update will be limited to the time provided and may include, but is not limited to, the following: Structural Layout Edits, Editing Text & Images, Adding Images & Text, Adding / Removal of a Blog Posts, Adding / Removal of Products, Re-designing / Adding a Single Page, Changing Settings, Creating a Rotating Banner.
The Client may request additional changes at our discounted hourly rate of $85.00. The monthly updates do not accumulate from month to month if unused or partially used.
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MEANS A LOT
What if I Want to Cancel?
Cancellation
in the events of a premature ending to the contract when you lease your website, ownership of all copyrights, design work, and website code remains with Chewie Media Inc. Chewie Media reserves the right to terminate the Agreement at any time by giving the Client 21 days written notice. Chewie Media may also terminate or suspend operation of the Agreement at any time without prior notice, if a breach of contract has occured, or if it is acting reasonably.
Before The End of 24 Months
The Client agrees to pay any and all remaining balances due to Chewie Media immediately. The Client shall also pay an additional termination fee of $750.00 to Chewie Media upon cancellation of this Agreement if it is within the first 12 months of the subscription, or $400 if it is within the first 24 months of the subscription.
After The End of 24 Months
The Client may choose to continue this Agreement on a month to month basis indefinitely. The website may be purchased for full ownership by the Client at any time for $3200.00 for the Pine Tree plan, $5700.00 for the Cedar plan, or $9500 for the Red Wood plan, each at a discount. For every year the Client remains in this Agreement subscribed to the Website plan following the initial 24 month period, 20% of the remaining balance will be deducted from the website buyout price. Additionally, at the end of the Fifth total year, Chewie Media will waive all remaining fees if the Client chooses to redesign their website with Chewie Media, using any of Chewie Media’s Website design options.
